A Special Holiday
Christmas should be a joyous and happy time for everyone. It was for the mostpart, except for not having my mom. My mom always bought me a special gift everyyear. I was missing that part of Christmas even more than usual.
At the beginning of Christmas week I went into town to do my grocery shoppingbut was drawn to an antique shop on the other side of town which I never had thetime to go to. I don't believe in having regrets later, so I went in.
I walked through the whole shop, and in the back was my mom's favorite picturehanging on the wall in a beautiful gold frame. It was of a guardian angelwatching over two children crossing a bridge. My mom was buried with thatpicture, and we had it engraved on her headstone. Now here was my picture tohang on my wall. I put it on layaway with every cent I found in my purse.
I got the picture in January, but I know my mom sent me there for that veryreason. A Christmas present to me from her, as she always did when she was here.

圣诞那周之初我进城买食品，可是被吸引到城对面从未去过的古玩店。我不想将来留下什么遗憾，便走了进来。
我走遍了整个店，后边是我母亲喜欢的画，是放在漂亮金框里挂在墙上的。这是守护天使看护两个孩子过桥。我母亲连同画都被埋了，大家请人把画的内容镌刻在她的碑石上。这幅画目前就挂在我的墙上，是我节俭逐月付款才买到的。
我于1月得到画，但我了解因为那幅画的原故母亲派我去了那里。给我的圣诞节礼物是来自她，由于她在身边总会送我礼物的。
